Hi, my name is Claire (she/her/hers), I’ve been taking photos since I was kid, but started taking the craft more seriously in my freshmen year of high school in 2009, I’ve won some art shows, participated in art walks and markets, worked on broadcast TV, and even published a book. All between 2012-2018
In 2018 I took a break professionally, focusing on my personal life and day-job. I still took photos for friends but I had lost my passion for taking photos for myself. I began transitioning in 2021 which sparked my eye once again.
As of 2026 I have begun professional services once again, deleting my prior life’s work, and starting anew with a greater focus on providing my documentary eye to those who appreciate a more raw approach.
I am originally from Sarasota, Florida, currently living in Oregon, with services being offered to those primarily in the Pacific Northwest,

my story

Photography process

My process focuses on composition and emotion, utilizing natural lighting within the environment whenever possible. I love and excel in low-light settings. Most of my work tends to be dramatic, passionate and rough around the edges. My instinct is to be invisible, patient and being there at the right moment.
I specialize in black & white, as I find the balance between the contrast of those images to be the greatest gift that can be captured. You capture the emotion fully. I also enjoy color photography, I have tetrachromacy (I have 4-cones instead of 3 when seeing color), so my style that I have embraced over the years tends to lean into warm saturated tones to match what I actually see. Above all I put an emphasis on quality over quantity.
My style tends to focus less on editing in post, favoring more of what comes directly out of camera with some editing cases being lighting and color. I do not do touch ups, liquify, heal or photoshop. I want to be known for capturing reality, nothing artificial. This is also a benefit to you as the client, as I have a very quick turn around for a majority of projects,

I do not and shall not use generative or suggestion AI in any of my work, from concept to final, nor in any of my social media posts or website. Because what you see should be real and tangible, and art should never be replaced by a computer. No matter what medium.

Services

    • I charge a baseline $40/hr while on location and $20/hr while editing, I don’t operate in packages or bundles - you get my time and attention to detail in those hours for whatever project you have in mind and the only minimum is 1 hour of shooting and 1 hour of editing for my services

    • You should expect to receive between 15-30 finalized high resolution images per hour taking photos based on my current workflow and editing process

    • Services are (but not limited to) Portraits, Weddings, Events, Music, Candids, Product, Promotional, Documentary, Vehicle and Housing

    • You will receive a flash drive for photo delivery with images in either .png or .jpeg file types. I do not give raw images unless it is a commercial project and it has been discussed prior to shooting.

    • I can provide a quote of services prior to shooting to ensure we stay within your budget!

    • Similar to my baseline pricing for photography, for video work I charge $40/hr while on location, and I do charge $30/hr for editing video, with a minimum of 1 hour shooting on location, and at least 3 hours editing (unless you only need me as an operator)

    • Services include (but are not limited to) Interviews, B-Roll, Independent film, Weddings, Vehicles and Housing

    • I have the right to refuse services to anyone for any reason, and I choose to do right by my work. My images will not be used in anything promoting hate, abuse, violence, or anything discriminatory to any persons or groups, and I will refuse to work with anyone that is attempting such actions.

    • Come from love, The rest will follow, you are safe with me.

    • Send me an email, your first 2 hours of shooting are on me! I want to help boost your brand/business by providing you photography that highlights what you bring to the table - tattoo artists, coffee shops, book stores, plant shops, aestheticians, restaurants, etc., - needing photography for advertisements, events, employee highlights, business bios, menu or product items, product promotions? Please don’t hesitate to reach out, I would love to work with you!

    • All you will be responsible for is covering editing costs at half of my normal rates (2-4 hours, $20-$40 for photography, or 3-6 hours, $45-$90 for videography) (or we can discuss a mix of services!)

    • If we both decide to do a long term partnership I’d be more than happy to discuss content arrangements that match your budget or possible work/service trades!
